MacAllan

From the Gaelic 'McAilin', son of Allan. Dungall M'Alayne paid rent in Bootle in 1376. The Sutherland MacAllans are really Mackays, the MacAllan having developed from a patronymic. Finlay Macallan lived in Ross in 1578.
